C Strings

Used to represent sequences of characters.
Used for text manipulation and storage.

Syntax:
char myString[] = "Hello, World!";

They are declared in Double quotes ("") and Single quotes ('');
we can access them through indexing (myString[0])

#include <stdio.h>
#include <string.h>

int main() {
    char myString[] = "Hello, World!";
    int length = strlen(myString);
    printf("Length of the string: %d\n", length);
    return 0;
}

Modifying Strings

Using the index we can change or modify the values in an strings like an array.

#include <stdio.h>
#include <string.h>

int main() {
    char myString[] = "Hello, World!";
    myString[1] = "l";
    
    printf(myString);
    
    return 0;
}

Using Loops

#include <stdio.h>

int main() {
    char letter[] = "abcdef";
    int i;
    
    for (i = 0; i < 5; i++) {
    printf("%c\n", letter[i]);
    }

    return 0;
}
