AI Usage Policy
Last updated: March 31, 2026. This policy outlines the principles governing the ethical and responsible use of AI across BMR Education's platform and services.
1.Ethical AI Governance
BMR Education is committed to the ethical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across our platform. Our governance program aligns with the EU AI Act, the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, and UNESCO's AI Ethics Recommendations.
All AI features, including content generation, personalized pathways, and intelligent search, are provided to enhance human learning, not replace it.
2.Core AI Principles
Our AI development is guided by:
• Fairness & Non-Discrimination: Minimizing bias and promoting equitable access.
• Transparency & Explainability: Being clear about when and how AI is used.
• Accountability: Maintaining oversight of the AI systems we deploy.
• Human Oversight: Assisting human intelligence rather than substituting it.
• Beneficence & Safety: Avoiding harmful content and promoting educational well-being.
3.Data Handling in AI
Queries & Inputs: Text or data you input into AI features are processed to generate relevant educational outputs.
Anonymization: For users who are not logged in, AI interactions are non-personalized and data is not linked to personal identifiers.
Logged-in Personalization: For logged-in users, personalization occurs based on explicit preferences and progress. All such features remain free.
Retention: AI interaction logs are generally retained for up to 30 days for quality improvement and debugging, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
4.Nature of AI-Generated Content
Informational Purpose: All AI-generated content (explanations, practice questions, mind maps) is provided strictly for educational purposes.
NOT Professional Advice: AI-generated content is NOT a substitute for professional medical, legal, or financial advice. Always consult qualified professionals for critical decisions.
Limitations: AI models can sometimes generate inaccurate, incomplete, or biased information. Users are responsible for critically evaluating and verifying all AI outputs.
5.Content Safety & Misuse
We implement safety filters to prevent harmful content generation. However, users must not use AI tools for:
• Illegal activities or harassment.
• Making threats or for legal cases against individuals/organizations.
• Plagiarism, cheating, or any form of academic dishonesty.
Misuse of AI tools is a violation of our Terms of Service and will result in account termination.
6.User Responsibilities
• Critical Evaluation: Always review AI outputs for accuracy and bias.
• Responsible Input: Do not input sensitive personal information or confidential data into AI tools.
• Reporting Issues: Promptly report harmful or inaccurate content via our feedback channels.
