Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: January 14, 2026. This policy outlines BMR Education's rules around subscription cancellations, refund eligibility, processing timelines, and AI credit usage across our ecosystem (including EdChat, Nexus, Aptitude IQ, and BMR Healthcare).
1.Overview
At BMR Education, we want every learner to have a fair and transparent billing experience. This policy explains when you may be eligible for a refund, how to request one, and how long it takes to receive your money back across our ecosystem of products (including EdChat, Nexus, Aptitude IQ, and BMR Healthcare).
By purchasing a subscription or any paid feature from BMR Education, you agree to the terms of this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
2.Refund Eligibility
You may be eligible for a full or partial refund under the following circumstances:
• Duplicate Charges: You were billed more than once for the same subscription cycle.
• Failed Transactions: Money was deducted from your account but the subscription or service was not activated.
• Technical Issues: A verified technical issue on our side prevented you from using a paid feature for a significant portion of the billing cycle.
• Accidental Purchase: You report an accidental purchase within 7 days of the transaction and have not substantially used the service.
Refund requests must be raised within 14 days of the original payment date.
3.Non-Refundable Items
The following are generally not eligible for refunds:
• AI credits that have already been consumed or generated outputs delivered.
• Subscription periods that have already elapsed where the service was available and usable.
• Charges for promotional, discounted, or trial-converted plans, unless required by law.
• Purchases made via Google Play or the Apple App Store—refunds must be requested through that store’s policy and tools.
• PhonePe / UPI web subscriptions at www.bmreducation.com follow this policy when you contact us with your receipt or merchant order ID (see section 4).
4.How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
1. Email us at [email protected] or use our Contact page (topic: Billing & Plans).
2. Include your registered email, the transaction/order ID (PhonePe merchant order ID or Google Play order ID), the date of the payment, and the reason for the refund.
3. For web (PhonePe) subscriptions, you can also copy receipt details from Account → Subscription.
4. Attach any supporting screenshots (e.g., bank statement, payment confirmation) if available.
Our support team will review your request and respond within 3 business days with the outcome or any clarifications needed.
5.Refund Processing & Timeline
Once your refund request is approved, we initiate the refund immediately from our side.
• The refund will be credited to the original mode of payment within 7–10 business days.
• The exact time taken to reflect in your account depends on your bank, card issuer, or payment provider.
• For UPI and net banking, refunds typically reflect within 5–7 business days. For credit/debit cards, it may take up to 10 business days.
• If you do not see the refund after 10 business days, please contact us with your refund reference ID and we will investigate immediately.
6.Subscription Cancellation
Cancel on the platform where you subscribed:
• Web (PhonePe): Account → Subscription — turn off auto-renew. Access continues until the current period ends.
• Android (Google Play): Google Play → Subscriptions → EdChat → Cancel.
• Apple App Store: Use Apple’s subscription management if you subscribed there.
• Effect of Cancellation: You will not be charged for the next billing cycle once cancellation is confirmed on that platform.
• Access: You keep your plan and AI credits until the end of the current billing period.
• No Auto-Refund: Cancelling does not automatically refund the current cycle—see eligibility in section 2.
