R Lists

Used to store an ordered collection of elements of the differnt data type.
We use list() Function to inset the elemnts.

Example
my_list <- list(7, "eight", TRUE)
my_list

Accessing Elements

We can access the list with index number inside a [] bracket.

Example
my_list <- list(7, "eight", TRUE)
my_list[1]

Functions are a built in methods that performs operations fast and easy.

Returns the number of elements in a vector.

length(c(1, 2, 3))

Combining Lists

c()

Combines multiple lists into one.

combined_list <- c(my_list, another_list)

Names of Elements

names()

Returns the names of elements in a list.

element_names <- names(my_list)

Checking Element Existence

%in%

Checks if an element exists in a list.

exists <- "new_element" %in% names(my_list)

Converting List to Data Frame

as.data.frame()

Converts a list to a data frame.

df <- as.data.frame(my_list)

element_exists <- "new_element" %in% names(my_list)
